THE ROOTS WHERE IT BEGAN<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Our owner, Fran\u00e7ois,<\/b> <\/b>was born near Chablis, Burgundy, and grew up around the vineyards helping his grandfather to make wine. With a winegrower as a grandfather and farmer as a father, Fran\u00e7ois was raised with values of the land and makes a point to work with winegrowers respectful of this. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

Giving\ninto his love for adventure, passion for wine, and curiosity of the US,\nFran\u00e7ois decided to make his way to California in 1996 to work in the vineyards\nafter attending business school. <\/span><\/p>

THE LAUNCH<\/p>\n\n

He then landed in New York, where he worked in the\nwine and hospitality industry for 7 years, holding positions such as sommelier,\nsales representative, assistant restaurant manager, and importer.<\/span>

In\n2003, Fran\u00e7ois headed back to France to pursue a job as an export wine salesman,\ntravelling regularly to the different wine regions of France to meet\nproducers.  <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IT FINALLY MAKE SENSE<\/p>\n\n

Then, in 2007, Fran\u00e7ois decided to transfer\nthe knowledge acquired from both sides of the Atlantic, and of the market, into\nhis company 71 Vintage<\/b>.
