Our owner acquired this experience by working in the wine industry as well as in the hospitality business in New York City from 1996 through 2003. Dealing with several of the most important importers, distributors in supplying terroir-driven wines, 71 Vintage fully masters all the different steps of the 3 tier-system in the US, a real competitive advantage!
The role of 71 Vintage is equally as a commercial agent for both import and export. As an export consultant 71 Vintage can assist in sourcing and developing business contacts.
The merchant is comparable to the vines: it needs time to set up a network and eventually to harvest the fruit of ones work. Being present in the territory is crucial as it allows one to be reactive. That is the most important trump card.
